I am Chief Executive Officer, North America, General Insurance for AIG. General Insurance* (GI) is a leading provider of insurance products and services for commercial and personal insurance customers, with 2021 Net Written Premiums of $25.8B. As CEO, North America, I oversee a $12b+ portfolio of commercial insurance businesses operated through our retail, wholesale and delegated authority platforms in the US, Canada and Bermuda. In addition I have global responsibility for our leisure travel and warranty & service program businesses.  

Prior to becoming CEO, I was most recently Global Chief Operating Officer, General Insurance (GI) for AIG. As COO I was responsible for leading and driving the GI global transformation efforts, inclusive of implementing operational end-to-end processes, improving underwriting controls and governance, developing and driving GI’s data strategy, ensuring that key metrics are developed and performance standards are established and attained. In addition, I worked collaboratively with AIG’s Chief Information Officer to define, prioritize and implement the optimal digital, data and technology platforms for General Insurance.  

I rejoined AIG in 2018 as Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer for GI, where I supported our Chief Underwriting Officer in leading the global implementation of AIG’s underwriting framework and guidelines, working closely with AIG’s other functional areas to operationalize the implementation and governance of this framework.  

Prior to AIG, I was most recently Chief Underwriting Officer, North America for Arch Insurance Group, where I had direct management oversight of a $2.5B diversified underwriting platform and talented team of underwriting and marketing professionals focused on Property, Casualty, Group Captives, Programs, Travel & Accident, Surety, Management & Professional Liability, and Lenders & Warranty products, distributed through Retail and Wholesale Agents and Brokers, Managing General Agents, and a growing B2B and B2C direct distribution capability.
