Heather Fox

Heather Fox is Chief Underwriting Officer for Zurich North America, responsible for leading the company’s Technical Underwriting team, including Pricing, Product Management, Sustainability Underwriting, Underwriting University, Lines of Business Underwriting and Underwriting Services. Her role reports to the CEO of Zurich North America as well as the Chief Underwriting Officer for Zurich Insurance Group. 

Fox joined Zurich in April of 2023, following over 14 years with ARC Excess & Surplus, where she last served as General Counsel & Chief Brokerage Officer, as part of the leadership team setting the strategic direction for the company. Prior to her tenure with ARC, Fox was with AIG for over 12 years. Her roles there included General Counsel and Chief Underwriting Officer of the Executive Liability Divisions. 

Fox was named Insurance Professional of the Year in 2022 by the New York City Association of Insurance Women for her leadership and support of women in the insurance industry. 

Fox is a co-founder and board member with The Bridge Transcends, an organization that supports the advancement of women in the Financial Lines insurance industry. She is a current member and past President and Trustee of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), where she received the organization’s 2021 PLUS Founders Award. 

Fox received a Juris Doctor from New England Law in Boston and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from St. John’s University, graduating with Cum Laude honors.
