Heather Fox is General Counsel and Chief Broking Officer at ARC Excess and Surplus, LLC (“ARC”). Heather manages ARC’s Claims Department and serves as a national resource for ARC brokers in complex placements and manuscript policy wording negotiations. Heather counsels ARC’s clients on policy forms, as well as on corporate governance and loss mitigation strategies.
Prior to joining ARC, Heather was Chief Underwriting Officer and a Senior Vice President at AIG Executive Liability, a division of AIG Commercial Insurance. During her 11 year tenure at AIG, Heather was the principal drafter of many of AIG Executive Liability’s management liability insurance policies. Heather also held a variety of underwriting and legal positions, including managing AIG Executive Liability’s legal staff and compliance group. Prior to her employment at AIG, Heather practiced law in Massachusetts, primarily focused on civil litigation, including employment-related litigation.
Heather frequently speaks at seminars on a wide range of management liability topics, including on D&O liability and insurance. She is a Past President and Trustee of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), a nonprofit association for the promotion and development of the professional liability insurance industry. Heather is a founding board member of The Bridge, a nonprofit supporting career advancement of women in the financial lines insurance industry.
Heather received a Juris Doctor from New England School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from St. John’s University.
