Cara Peterman is a partner with Alston & Bird’s Securities Litigation Group. Her practice focuses on shareholder class actions, shareholder derivative suits, SEC investigations, and other highstakes litigation. Cara also counsels public companies and their boards on disclosure and corporate governance matters, with a concentration on cybersecurity and data-privacy-related issues. She serves as the co-chair of the Atlanta Bar Association’s Securities and Corporate Litigation Section. Cara maintains an active pro bono practice and was recently honored as the “Pro Bono Advocate of the Year” by Kids in Need of Defense (KIND). She is a member of the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood Southeast.
