Daniel has 20 years of reinsurance experience and is leading Swiss Re’s global Cyber Reinsurance Underwriting Team. This team is responsible for Swiss Re’s global reinsurance business, including underwriting, accumulation management, analytics and risk insights. Daniel is a Senior Vice President and member of the Specialty Leadership Team, based in Zurich, Switzerland.  

He previously lead the Specialty Centre, overseeing underwriting excellence and operations of the global Specialty business. Prior to that he held various roles in Engineering & Construction Underwriting, including the role of Global Chief Underwriter from 2018-2020. Before joining Swiss Re, Daniel was a Construction consultant working in the field of infrastructure projects and sustainability.  

Daniel holds two Master’s Degrees in Environmental Engineering from ETH Zurich and in Economics from the University of Fribourg.
