La’Vonda McLean, Esq.

La’Vonda McLean is a senior client advisor in Marsh’s FINPRO Practice, our financial and professional insurance group, based in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is also FINPRO’s US Employment Practices Liability (EPL)/Wage & Hour (W&H) Product Leader. 

In these roles, she is responsible for delivering to our clients and colleagues timely, relevant, and consistent thought and product leadership and content, including global risk advisory services with regard to directors & officers liability (D&O), EPL, W&H, fiduciary liability, and crime/fidelity coverage.  This includes additional perspectives from a multinational lens. 

She has expertise in leading complex placements and creating bespoke coverage terms in D&O, EPL, W&H, and fiduciary liability.  She is also the co-leader for Marsh Atlanta African Heritage Colleague Resource Group.  

La’Vonda joined Marsh in August 2021 and has more than 18 years of combined insurance and legal experience in all aspects of financial lines of coverage.  Prior to joining Marsh, she worked at another major global broker where she led the Southeast financial and executive risk team and was the industry segmentation leader for the global financial and executive risk practice group. She also worked at a national law firm in Atlanta, specializing in labor and employment law. In addition, she was a senior underwriter at Zurich North America where she had responsibility for Zurich’s employment practices book of business for the Southeast region. 

She is a frequent speaker on financial lines related topics and her speaking engagements have included Professional Liability Attorney Network (PLAN), ExecuSummit EPL Conference, ExecuSummit D&O Conference, Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), King & Spalding, Cayman Captive Conference, American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM), Women in Insurance, and various continuing education panels.
